Annual General Body meeting , it was well conducted with profound knowledge and Integrity by Rtn, Sujata Panju the Election officer, Nomination was filed by Rtn Kavitha ( President Elect 2026-27) , along with the Board members , the three year Leadership team were also nominated Rtn. The most charming President Rtn.Dharanija shared her warm wishes to the members , Emcee was handled professionally by Rtn, Poornima , Announcements by Shoba the secretary.

Rotaract Club Installation at HCAS

9th Installation Ceremony – Rotaract Club of Hindustan College of Arts & Science | Sponsored by Rotary Club of Chennai Spotlight The 9th Installation Ceremony of the Rotaract Club of Hindustan College of Arts & Science was held on 10th September under the theme “Dhuruvam – The Unshakeable Foundation.” The new team was installed with Rtr. Arun taking office as President and Rtr. Thahira Begam as Secretary, along with an enthusiastic board of members.The event marked a significant milestone in strengthening the bond between the Rotaract Club and its parent club, Rotary Club of Chennai Spotlight. The incoming team pledged to uphold the values of Rotary and carry forward impactful projects that embody the spirit of Service Above Self.

Lead 2025 - A historic Rotary Gathering

Rotarians from India, Sri Lanka, Maldives, Bhutan, and Nepal came together at the Chennai Trade Centre, with over 8,000+ attendees for this two-day landmark event, graced by the #RIPresident ,The sessions were enriched with insights from eminent speakers, including the #DeputyChiefMinister, #educational minister , a renowned space scientist, a star studded celebrity artists the most powerful #kamalahasan and many others and several influential business leaders -#sivashakaran #ckkumaravelOur club had the privilege of witnessing this extraordinary event, with 10+ Spotlighters actively participating. We also connected with Rotarians from across the region.Truly an inspiring and memorable event that showcased the spirit of Rotary—Service, Fellowship, and Impact.

Board Meeting at Boat Club | 21st August

The Board Meeting of the Rotary Club of Chennai Spotlight was held on 21st August 2025 at Boat Club, with participation both in person and online. Out of 21 members, 12 were present, ensuring good representation across avenues. The meeting was both meaningful and engaging, as every avenue was taken up for discussion, with valuable inputs from all. Plans for international service, sister club collaborations, district participation, and the upcoming Aadi Sathu tournament were reviewed in detail. September projects, including Interact installations, book donation drives, blood donation and cervical cancer awareness at HCAS, and fellowship events, were finalized. The Board also discussed innovative ideas like a garage sale, enhancing subscriptions, and making Charter Nite and Installation more grand and cost-effective. The meeting concluded on a positive note with clear action points, shared responsibilities, and a spirit of teamwork to carry the club’s projects forward with impact.

The Rotary District marked Doctors’ Day on July 1st by honoring eminent doctors from Chennai city for their invaluable service. The event saw enthusiastic participation from our very own Spotlighter doctors and club members, who gathered in large numbers to celebrate and show their appreciation.

The vibrant Fellowship of Music-Loving Rotarians, led by Chairperson Rtn. Devi Krishna,a passionate singer, alongside her talented partner Mr. Krishna, an accomplished vocalist himself, brings together Rotarians who share a deep love for music. Their musical synergy not only entertains but also uplifts the spirit of Rotary fellowship, creating harmony beyond words.

Club Assembly 2025-26

The Club Assembly was held on 26th July at The Quest Learning Centre, with the participation of 18 Rotarians. The meeting began with the President outlining her vision and goals for the year, aligning with the theme “Unite for Good.” Each Avenue Director shared their plans and project ideas, fostering meaningful discussions and collective enthusiasm. The session served as a strong foundation for collaborative efforts and a purposeful Rotary year ahead.

Celebrating Leadership, Talent & New Beginnings ... President Prithvi, who truly raised the bar with his dynamic leadership,the Annettes soared to new heights — and it’s no surprise he was conferred the title of Best President! With Secretary Dikshita and Treasurer Utham, the past year has been a stellar. As we turn the page, we welcome a vibrant new chapter led by the incredibly talented Sonia Karthikeyan! An Annette since she was 12, Sonia grew up in Rotary, always tagging along with her mom Rtn. Jayanthi to every meeting and fellowship. A born leader — singer, dancer, football enthusiast, and now pursuing in Psychology — she is a true young dynamite! She is joined by the calm and brilliant Secretary Gaurav Jain , whose intelligence and grace speak volumes, and his sister, the poised and efficient Treasurer Miss Pearl Jain. Together, with a born-ready board of enthusiastic members, they are all set to shine!

Interact Installation | Advent Christian Hg School

Advent Christian High School | ECR, Injambakkam, this is a higher Secondary School. The School has been committed to educating children from economically and socially disadvantaged background in and around Ijambakkam. Currently they have 150 students mostly of whom belongs to the families of daily wage earners , fishermen, single parent and broken families.Despite these challenges the school has achieved 100% in the SSLC examination for the past three consecutive years.

Installation of the 12th President Rtn Dharanija Ramakrishnan A Grand Success ! The installation ceremony of our 12th President, Rtn. Dharanija and her mighty team ,was a spectacular and memorable evening. The hall was abuzz with energy, graced by esteemed District Officials, Past District Governors, fellow Presidents and Secretaries, family members, well-wishers, and our Chief Guest Rtn. Vinod Saraogi accompanied by his gracious wife, Mrs. Usha Saraogi who shared their warm and inspiring thoughts with the gathering. President Dharanija presented her goals for the year with clarity and conviction, igniting enthusiasm in all present. The celebrations continued with a heartfelt July birthday celebration, joyful fellowship, karaoke and dance. It was truly a day to cherish—with gratitude and hope for a purposeful year ahead.
