Our Story

The Rotary Club of Chennai Spotlight, chartered on 25th June 2014, was founded by a group of passionate women entrepreneurs who owned the event company Spotlight. United by a shared commitment to empower women and girl children, they aspired to take their service beyond business.

Encouraged by Rtn. Krishna Routhu, then President of Rotary Club of Madras Midtown, and led by his wife Devi Krishna as the Charter President, the club was formed with strong, like-minded women including Charter Secretary Barbara Bedi, Sujatha Panju, Rajarajeshwari, Shreedevi, Reema Sundar, and others.

Spotlight proudly became the first all-women Rotary club in the district, dedicated to impactful projects, fellowship, and community transformation.
