St Ebbas Girls Hr Sec School | Formation process

At St. Ebba’s Girls Higher Secondary School, a 139-year-old institution, our team met with Principal Mrs. Ramila Hepsi and Correspondent Mrs. Shanthi to discuss the process of starting an Interact Club. We also interacted with the entire 9th standard students, introducing them to the concept and advantages of Interact. During the discussions, the school shared their key requirements – Spoken English support and arranging and maintaining the library. These needs will guide our future projects to ensure meaningful engagement and support for the students.

Well planned and executed by Dr Susan - RAW-2 In a remarkable display of community service and maternal healthcare support, more than 45 Rotary clubs and club First Ladies across RI Dist 3234 joined hands for the RAW2 (Rotary Action for Women) Maternity kits distribution & much needed equipment for these hospitals initiative. Implemented by the Women’s Health team,we distributed 1050 kits in 6 of the largest Govt hospitals during World Breast Feeding week 1st-5th Aug,’25 . Career Counselling at Advent School

Naalai Namadhey :Career counselling at Advent Christian School Delighted to have completed the career guidance session for the 70 students of 9th and 10th grade of Advent Christian High School with the trainers Pria Srinivas from the district team. Was a very useful session where the kids were guided to understand the basics of attitude, success, how to handle failure, dignity of labor, career options, personal strengths and how to convince their parents in case of a conflict of choice of career. These first generation learners blew us away with their warmth, positive attitude, values and receptiveness. Thanks a ton to Shreedevi Madhavan for joining me despite a long work week and proposing the vote of Thanks succinctly at the end of the session!! Absolutely fulfilling and heartwarming day!

Kadal Karai is a zero-budget community initiative dedicated to protecting and preserving our beaches while promoting environmental awareness and coastal conservation by Rotaract club of VIT Chennai.Entirely driven by passionate volunteers, the project focuses on beach cleanups, removing litter and debris, and restoring the natural beauty of our shoreline. It raises awareness about the urgent need for environmental preservation and champions sustainable practices to safeguard marine ecosystems. Through hands-on participation and educational outreach on responsible waste management, Kadal Karai nurtures a collective sense of accountability and environmental stewardship—ensuring a cleaner, greener coastline for future generations, all without relying on external funding or resources.

A self-defence session for women was conducted at Hiranandani, OMR, as part of our Community Service initiatives. The session was led by Sensei Ramanath, 6th Dan, Rensei Go, and organized by Rtn. Kavitha Giri. Women participants, aged between 25 and 50 years, were equipped with practical techniques to enhance personal safety, awareness, and confidence. This impactful initiative aligns with Rotary’s focus on Peacebuilding and Conflict Prevention and empowering women through skill-building and self-reliance.
